What Am I?

We made kites. First we made the frame. Next we laid the newspaper on the frame. Finally we stuck all of the pieces together and then you have a kite.

Science Fair

We have been learning to complete science investigations. We learnt about the scientific method . There is a science fair at Ohaeawai.

This is my handwriting Term 2.

I did worse at forming my letters correctly.

I did better at making my letters the right size.  

In total I didn't get any better or any worse.

Fractions

We have been learning fractions. Fractions are a part of a shape, all of the parts must be equal. A fraction can be a half, a third, a quarter, a fifth of a whole.

Paper Spinner

We made paper spinners for maths. We had to use our fraction and shape knowledge to help us fold our spinner. We decorated our spinner with patterns and colours. We battled our spinners with a friend. I didn’t battle but I tired mine out after. My spinner works well.
