Makerspace

In Maker-space* we have been doing Autumn activities. I went to the Lego room and made some trees. Here it is.
*Maker-space is a group that goes into room three and does creative, makey things using science, maths, technology, art and engineering. 

I wrote a poem about Autumn Trees.

Leaves falling, trees swaying, a forest of fire. Orange leaves and dark rich brown wood. A orchestra of birds, a swarm of butterflies flying. It's like heaven.

ANZAC Day Writing

We wrote letters and poems for ANZAC day.

Here is my letter.

Handwriting

We have been learning to form our letters correctly and to use capital letters in the correct place.I am good at keeping my letters on the line.I need to get better at keeping my writing tidy.

Picasso Art

We have been working on using different art techniques to draw our faces. We have used sketching pencils to sketch our faces, making sure we made our facial features an accurate shape, size and putting them in the correct places.

We learnt about Picasso’s style and made our own funky Picasso portraits.

Swimming

We have been working towards becoming a confident swimmer by learning how to be a safe swimmer. We learnt that we should always swim with an adult and to always wear a life jacket when we are on a boat. At our swimming lessons we have learnt how to float, kick, glide and use rainbow arms and we are still learning to breathe correctly.

Garden To Table

I like garden to table because:

1. we cook really good food 

2. we get to eat the food after we have made it

3. you don't normally get the opportunity to do things like that.
